Burning alive is nothing compared to the heat of his touch.

Roasted at the stake as a witch while her lover watches, Ysabel sells her soul to the devil in return for revenge. A fair trade until her ex-boyfriend escapes the bowels of Hell and she’s forced to team up with a demon to fetch the jerk back.

Remy’s seen a lot of things during his tenure in Lucifer’s guard, but nothing can prepare him for the witch with the acerbic tongue – and voluptuous figure. Her mouth says ‘Screw you,’ but her body screams ‘Take me.’ What’s a poor demon to do when his heart makes things even more complicated by goading him to make her his...

So once upon the time, in Spain, they used to burn witches. Because they consorted with the Devil. They danced round fires naked and worshipped Satan. But they also cured ailments, helped in childbirth, and to prevent child birth(!), and also sold love potions. A balance of good Vs evil? Your choice really but 16th century Spain was VERY superstitious, think the RC Church and the black robed priests and they’re habit of torturing people if they didn’t like your behaviour. So if you didn’t happen to like your son consorting with a local girl, just point the finger and plenty of people enjoyed a good burning. But if you were the witch you might just sign a contract with the Devil to make sure that the finger pointers went to hell – and ere put in prison. So when they escape you rather reluctantly take a partner to go and capture and return them – after which parks fly.Eve Langlais writes an imaginative romantic comedy with plenty of unexpected twists – just wait until yu find out who Satan is married to!Great fun to read.

I still have a smile on my face!! This book has some great laugh out loud moments. It is very funny. The story is quite fast paced, the characters are wonderful, lovely light hearted story that i would recommend reading.

I was disapointed with remys character he seemed a bit one dimensional, he had no depth to his character and his naughty quips though funny for a while became a bit monotonous as this was the only side to his character. The sex scenes didn't start really until I was 64% of the way through the book and by then I had gotten a bit bored of the story which also had no depth to it. The story felt like it was written in a rush and not much thought went into the story line and characters.I thought the story was hard to get into and I normally love this authors work, the writing is good though, its just the lack of substance between the characters and storyline grts a bit boring. It is not really a bad read and thats why I've given it 3* im just disapointed as I had expected to like this book. Im not sure buy would buy the next in the series though.
